FINE AT SCHOOL – meeting with local authorities
FINE AT SCHOOL – meeting with local authorities
The problem of early school leaving (ESL) concerns many European Union countries. In Poland, currently, according to data from the Eurobarometer, 4.8% of young people are droping out education, while in Bulgaria, Italy or Spain, the rate are much higher: 12.7%, 14.7% and 17.9%. Together with partners representing the above mentioned countries, WSBINOZ is implementing the FAS project - FINE AT SCHOOL, which aims to improve the emotional and social competences of students and implement strategies that will reduce the number / percentage of ESL by young people. The project includes meetings with local authorities and specialists to exchange experiences and to analyze what steps should be taken to minimize this phenomenon.
The first of the 5 planned meetings took place in Piotrków Trybunalski on 9th of June 2019. Among our specialists we invited the representatives of the local authorities of Piotrków Trybunalski – Vice-governor, consultants from WODN in Piotrków Trb. and representatives of the Program Board from PODNiDM in Pabianice.
