PABSEM - transnational meeting
The ratio of the elderly population is expected to increase in the coming period as a proportion of the total population across Europe. This will necessitate a change in policy towards older people and the creation of new tools. Due to the long process of this change, NGOs will play a major role with policy makers. As part of this initiative, the consortium will seek to develop solutions for burnout syndromes among disadvantaged people with multimorbidity. D
This project has three types of activities planned to improve the quality of life of people with multimorbidity over the age of 65. During the Rotterdam meeting
discussed the thematic scope of manuals and an e-book to improve the quality of life of people with multimorbidity. The handbook and e-book will be developed through the results obtained from the research. The manual and e-book will be divided into different chapters. Each partner will be involved in the development of the content, while bringing specificities in line with its national cultural context, the research carried out on multimorbidity and the needs analysis resulting from the level of the partnership and the level of the participants and target group. These two books will become a working tool for adult educators, art and music therapists, as they will provide guidance and methodology on how to support people with multimorbidity during educational activities or tours. One chapter will include examples of good practice in this area, developed by both educational and health organisations. A list of contacts in the music and arts sector in the partner areas will also be included in the document to facilitate the creation of contacts and strategies between the two disciplines (arts and music). Instructions on the procedure for creating PABSEM models for monuments and other artworks will also be included.
